I haven’t been able to pay my car payment for 3 months now. How long until they decide to repo it? I have been in contact and they haven’t said anything about taking it. In the next week I should be able to make most of the payment, but I was wondering how long they usually wait to repo a car?

You should contact them before you make a payment to insure you are not on a pick up list. Otherwise you will lose the money you pay and no car. There is usually no warning–you go out and it is gone. I would call them, apprise them of your intent to catch the payments up…give a definite date when an amount of money will be paid and insure they are OK with this. Whenever you speak with someone make sure you get their name and record the time when you call. You may salvage this yet…good luck.
