Westport used Audi dealer offers tips for keeping your vehicle in tip-top shape 0

Posted on December 06, 2011 by Automotive News

This month alone I’ve had to put new tires on my car and have a leak in the radiator fixed. My oil probably needs changing too. Maintenance on a car can be a pain in the neck and the wallet, but a few easy, preventative measures can help keep your vehicle running smoothly and mostly trouble-free.

Your Wilton 2010 Audi dealer can help you plan a maintenance schedule for your vehicle to keep it in top shape. You should follow the guidelines in the owner’s manual, but your dealer may be willing to send you a reminder notice if you don’t tend to make that a priority.

An oil and filter change every 3,000-4,000 miles is a must. If you’ve ever changed the oil yourself or even looked at the color of it once it’s been in there awhile, you can imagine what that does to your engine if left too long. Westport used Audi buyers should schedule regular oil changes according to the recommendation of their service department.

Usually they’ll give you a sticker telling you when to bring your vehicle in for the next change. It’s a no-brainer.

Other issues like brake fluids, transmission and power steering should be checked on a regular basis. You can do this yourself or ask your service technician to check when you go in for an oil change. (They usually will anyway.) As for the windshield wiper fluid, my 13-year-old can check and add that. It’s easy to tell when you’re out. Either a light comes on or no fluid comes out when you push the “wash” button and you smear the bugs/mud/slush all over your windshield and can’t see anything.

Tire pressure should be checked monthly, especially if you live in a climate where the temperature fluctuates wildly from week to week or even day to day.

Not only will this keep you safe on the road, but it can give you better mileage and help detect any leaks you may have so you don’t end up in the middle of nowhere with a flat.

Your car battery and cables should be inspected for signs of dirt or corrosion. Batteries that take fluid should be checked regularly as well. Your Westport used Audi dealer can show you what to look for.

The lighting system is not something you might think to check regularly. Most of us just wait until one burns out and then talk about re placing it for months before we finally get around to it. For safety’s sake, check your lights inside and out on a schedule.

Oh, and while you’re checking the wiper fluid, inspect your blades for wear or cracks. If they squeak horribly when you use them or leave big streaks, they probably need to be replaced. Have your mechanic check your belts regularly as well. Report any squealing sounds or slippage.

Wilton 2010 Audi customers also are reminded to change the air filter along with the oil change. That keeps everything flowing smoothly and preventive maintenance is always more affordable than major repairs from lack of maintenance.

Reston Audi dealer has the most ?super’ bowl of them all 0

Who will play in this year’s Super Bowl? It’s safe to say that the Patriots are a lock, and the Falcons look like they’re going to dominate the NFC. Still, I like the Bears as a dark horse candidate. If only they’d get rid of that Lovie Smith, the team could play to its full potential. Anyway, that isn’t the topic of conversation today. Your is much more interested in the advertising plans that its brand will bring to the big game. According to several sources, the key phrase for this year’s Super Bowl will be “social media.” As social media continues to evolve as a business tool, we’re finding more and more ways that it can be used to appeal to your target market. The auto industry has especially extensive potential to use social media for marketing, and it appears that a lot of brands have recognized this and have planned out integrated strategies that are sure to get the word out about new models and such. Your will be among the auto brand champions using social media and the Super Bowl to get the word out the right way.

Both Mercedes and Audi are on the docket for the Super Bowl it appears, and they will both be making tremendous strides into social media. Your recently came across an intriguing article in USA Today that details a lot of what we’ll see out of the new social media strategy. According to the article, “Audi will seek out — and reward — its 10 ‘most active’ social-media fans before the Super Bowl. It will award glitzy trips and other prizes to the fans whose social-media posts are most original and most numerous. ‘We’re trying to use social media to glue everything together,’ says Scott Keough, chief marketing officer at Audi of America.” Many of the luxury brands out on the market are finding the best ways around to connect with a younger, next generation audience. At the same time, a lot of luxury manufacturers are trying to find a way to play in markets where they’ve never been before, and appealing to a younger demographic is one way they plan to do this. In fact, it looks like Mercedes may have plans to launch some lower-end vehicles that will be much more viable to sell to a younger audience. Your definitely already has ambitions to expand the market where it sells.

The fact is that social media has grown from a non-serious marketing channel to one of the most effective ways to profile and reach an audience. It’s still a young channel for businesses, but it has the potential to be one of the lone places to really drive your messaging and branding home, creating a brand legacy for your company. Your knows that there is still plenty of innovation left to come across social media. But what your also knows is that they might be at the forefront.
